FDO's Forceful days off

Jan 16, 2026

There’s a day in the week that you have to shut off all your systems, every single one of them.

No to-do’s, no business being an executive, employee or business owner or even a freelancer, especially the last ones cause there’s no one to oversee them or tell them when to go home and close the offices.

Machines need to be shut down for maintenance and recovery, you’re only human in case you forgot.

Here’s the benefits of shutting down on a day in the week ( or more is required ):

- You recalibrate your ideas and thoughts
- You can see clearly where you’re going.. or not
- You can make adjustments while idle
- You can enjoy the pleasures of doing nothing
- You can enjoy a book or documentary, movie at the cinema
- You can enjoy the family with your full availability
- You can see what a jerk you are through mindfulness
- You can go over your notes that never get read
- You can clean your garage, home, laptop, phone or closet
- You can give back to community and enjoy it
- You can learn something totally new
- You learn ( or try to learn ) a game your kids play online
- You can call a few friends and get together doing nothing
- You can start your weekly blog or podcast
- You can unsubscribe to all those annoying emails
- You can plan your health habits and what not
- You can walk outside or go wind shopping with no plan
- You can look silently at a wall and be amazed
- You can tune into the sounds of nature
- You can go online and have fun in the comment section

As you can see doing nothing isn’t doing nothing actually if you come to think about it.. but it’s fun.
